Our Mission at Karis Community Health is to follow the example of our Lord Jesus Christ by serving others through the provision of quality dental and medical care to low-income adults in our community. Our list of medical services include:
~Routine Physical Exams and Chronic Disease Management
~Sick Visits
~Covid-19 Testing/Vaccines
~Lab Services
~X-rays
~Ultrasound
~Non-narcotic medications

**Patients must prove eligibility for our program by providing proof of residency in Bradley County, and proof of HOUSEHOLD income. Drop in for a financial screening M-F 9:00am-11:00am or 1:30pm-2:30pm.

We are so thankful for the United Way of the Ocoee Region and are excited to share how their updated resource hotline 211 will help our patients. Our Patient Resource Navigator, Elí Collins, works closely with Karis patients, navigating any additional unmet needs and connecting them to help. 211 has been an excellent asset for our patients by providing locally available resources for everyday and emergency needs. 💙💛 It's always so impactful to see how nonprofit partnerships work to alleviate poverty in our community!

Meet Gina Murphy, our Community Health Worker & Medical Receptionist! 🦷💜✨

Gina works diligently as a receptionist and assists with CHW work by helping patients navigate their needs to connect them to other nonprofits. She also assists with interpreting services, especially at patient out-of-office specialty care visits.

"I enjoy working here because helping others has always been a part of who I am as a person. I believe there is so much good to be done in the world, and if I can help even a little bit, I will always do so." - Gina.

Karis Board Member Highlight. 🩺🦷

Meet Dr. Matthew Tolbert, a founding member of the Karis Board of Directors. Dr. Tolbert was instrumental in Karis' start over 10 years ago. He led the way in designing and implementing many of our core organizational policies and procedural guidelines.

Dr. Tolbert is also heavily involved in leadership at the United Way of the Ocoee Region and works as a professor at Southern Adventist University, as the Director of their Center for Learning Innovation and Research.

His wisdom and direction were paramount in the development of the Karis we know today. We are so thankful for his continued guidance and support!
