HRMC Breast Cancer Walk is tomorrow and our Southern Gardens Citrus team decided to do our own mini SGCP Mini Breast Cancer Walk today reminding and cheering for women and men to go out and get tested!

Everyone that joined the mini walk participated in a raffle and Yonel Concepcion, Tankfarm Operator and Internal Auditor, was the winner of a gift card!

Thanks to everyone who participated and to our team leaders Dania Marquez and Jim Dannels for putting together such nice initiative!

Today is Southern Gardens Citrus Employees Benefit Fair and our team, enrolled or not in our medical plan, had the opportunity to do a health risk assessment, biometric testing, mammography and even donate blood and help saving lives! Also, everyone that participated today received some nice company gear!👏🏻🍊👷🏽‍♂️👷🏻‍♀️

During this month, our full time-year employees are having their Food Safety-GMP Juice HACCP and Food Defense training. Ping Sun, our Core Quality Team Leader, is leading the training in a 2 hour session to all Southern Gardens team!

Wade has been at Southern Gardens Citrus as our Fruit Procurement Representative for 8 years and has over 43 years of experience in fruit and juice businesses! Congratulations on your retirement, Wade! We thank you for all the work you did here at SGC and your support to the Citrus industry! We wish you all the best and may you enjoy the extra time the you’ll be spending with your loved ones! Have fun!! We will certainly miss you! The legend has retired!!!

Reusing is key to sustaining the Wastewater Treatment System! Citrus organic fruit solids are removed and land applied to our nearby groves for fertilizing and treated wastewater is sprayed onto field to irrigate groves.

is always thinking on ways of reducing our wastewater flow, we perform routine inspections and treat and reuse wastewater. Only in 2018, we treated over 94 million gallons (yes, 94 million gallons!!) and 2/3 of this amount was sent to our groves for irrigation.
