When Sandra Brady was admitted to The Woodlands Health and Rehab on June 13, 2025, for a six-week course of IV antibiotics to treat a prosthetic knee infection, she was understandably anxious and hesitant about the journey ahead. Facing both a medical challenge and a change in environment, Sandra wasn’t sure what to expect.

But what began as uncertainty quickly transformed into comfort and connection. Sandra soon found that The Woodlands offered more than just proficient medical care — it provided a true sense of home.

The team at The Woodlands played a vital role in helping Sandra feel supported every step of the way. From the beginning, the nurses and aides made sure she felt cared for and heard. Brenda, the nurse supervisor, became a particularly strong anchor during Sandra’s stay. “Brenda is like a mom — always going above and beyond. You can tell she truly wants the best for every patient.”

Therapy was a key part of Sandra’s recovery, and thanks to the skilled and dedicated therapy staff, she stayed motivated even on the hardest days. “They never gave up on me,” she said. “Even when I felt discouraged, they found ways to lift me up.” Brooke, her Occupational Therapist, stood out not just for her expertise, but also for her compassion. “She gives the best hugs.”

Outside of therapy, Sandra found peace and beauty in the center’s surroundings. The wildlife and the outdoor courtyard became favorite spots for relaxation and reflection — the perfect place to recharge after a hard day of progress.

As Sandra prepares for her upcoming knee surgery, she does so with confidence — not just in the procedure, but in the next steps of her journey. And she already knows exactly where she wants to return for her rehabilitation: The Woodlands Health and Rehab.

“I came here nervous and uncertain,” she reflected, “but I’m leaving stronger — and with a full heart. When it’s time to heal again, I know there’s no better place than right here.”

Mr. Householder was admitted to The Woodlands Health & Rehab Center on June 19, 2025, following a hospital stay due to generalized weakness. From the moment he arrived, our team was dedicated to helping him regain the strength and independence he needed to return home — and to be reunited with his beloved kitty cats.

Throughout his stay, Mr. Householder worked closely with both our Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy teams. With determination and daily progress, he steadily improved, meeting each new goal with a positive attitude and perseverance. His commitment to the rehabilitation process truly paid off.

When asked about his experience at The Woodlands, Mr. Householder shared that his favorite parts of the stay were the kind and supportive staff, the comforting presence of our facility cat, Smokey, the wooded location of the center and the overall high quality of care he received. These simple but meaningful touches made a lasting impact on his recovery journey.

Today, we are proud to celebrate Mr. Householder’s successful return home. We’ll certainly miss his warm spirit—but we’re thrilled that he’s back where he belongs, surrounded by his furry companions. Congratulations, Mr. Householder!
