Here at Schuyler Ridge, residents are never bored because our incredible Activities Team plan all kinds of fun and games and stimulating activities to engage our cherished residents, like Activities Assistant Linda Lee who has been with us for a remarkable 26 years! "I enjoy working in Activities because I love creating enjoyable experiences for our residents," shares Linda, adding that activities are especially important to seniors, helping to reduce loneliness and to keep residents active. Congratulations on your anniversary, Linda! Keep up the good work!

Here at Schuyler Ridge, our residents just LOVE history, especially as presented by the Schenectady County Historical Society. At a recent visit, the group presented "Beyond the Pines," an educational program outlining the founding of the Electric City of Schenectady by the Dutch back in 1661. The residents love this program so much that they are already looking forward to the next presentation in the series! What interesting location do you think we will learn about next? Stay tuned!

They're often the unsung heroes in a healthcare facility -- yet critical to helping maintain infection control, sanitation, and safety. We're talking about housekeepers. Here at Schuyler Ridge, our residents don't worry too much about the frigid cold weather outside. Rather, they're warm with excitement inside from our variety of engaging activities -- such as parachute, the interactive group game that we loved as children. (Turns out it's not only fun, it promotes teamwork, motor skills, and upper body strength.) Residents can also escape the cold reality through our Mynd Immersive Virtual Reality experiences that enable them to see and be anywhere they'd like. Playing Junk Drawer Detective and checking out Fashions of Today rounded out their fun times!

Sometimes words are simply not enough to express the love and appreciation in our hearts. Schuyler Ridge would like to take a moment to recognize several groups in our amazing Clifton Park community that came together to ensure a joyful holiday season for our residents!

Our heartfelt gratitude to Jeannie Dickenson and the TCT Federal Credit Union; Anna Marie Connolly and the Clifton Park Neighbors group; and Ann Wetalik and the St. Edward the Confessor Church. These kind folks set up programs that enabled the community to donate holiday gifts for our beloved residents... all 120 of them! Their selfless actions brought genuine smiles to all our beloved residents for a truly special holiday. To ALL those in the community who participated in this remarkable act of love, THANK YOU! We are truly blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community! ❤

We so enjoyed sharing those precious moments of our residents during the holiday activities here at Schuyler Ridge. For our team, the greatest gift was helping to make those smiles happen! Now we want to highlight our amazing team members who work behind the scenes every day to ensure that our residents are happy, healthy, and safe! We thank them not just during the holidays but every day of the year. Cheers to all the moments and smiles we'll make in 2026! Happy New Year, everyone!

As we prepare to welcome a new year, Schuyler Ridge is grateful to reflect on a wonderful year filled with moments that warm our hearts. We enjoyed visiting with the Easter Bunny, meeting the young athletes from Siena University, watching our CNAs graduate, and savoring every spoonful of deliciousness at our Ice Cream Socials. We also celebrated our six centenarians who collectively shared with us more than 600 years of wisdom and experience. We walked/rolled all over the building at our annual Turkey Trot. We truly enjoyed it all. And yes, we even enjoyed learning and eating the sweet potatoes! (They're a power food!)

Thank you to our cherished residents and families for entrusting us with your care, and thank you to our amazing staff for the countless ways you love on our residents. From our Schuyler Ridge Family to yours, we wish you health and happiness this holiday season and the best new year ahead!

There's magic in the air here at Schuyler Ridge! Look who stopped by for a special visit with our residents during our Resident & Family Holiday Party! Yes, it's good old St. Nick who "flew" in early with Rudolph and the gang just to visit with our residents and their family members. We had live musical entertainment at the party, along with drinks and refreshments, and oh, we had cookies for Santa, of course! Thanks for coming, Santa! Merry Christmas!

Excitement was in the air here at Schuyler Ridge as our residents got to witness the energy of young athletes from Siena University who traded in their practice time to come visit with our residents this week! It was heartwarming and the greatest gift of all to see the smiles on the faces of both generations together. Our thanks to everyone who took time to come out and brighten our days! Happy Holidays to all!
