This post is a few days late…. 10 years ago (September 9th) Centered Stillness Acupuncture and Massage Therapy, PLLC doors were first open. I had zero clients, but showed up anyway. Then Hurricane Sandy hit not too long after. It was a nightmare for Long Island. I was out of work for a month and I didn’t have any clients to start… did I mention that?!
Then, a year and a half later I relocated to Upstate NY and had to start all over again in a new city where I knew no one. Fast forward… A decade later… my business is stronger than ever and still growing! Hard work and being dedicated to your craft really does pay off!
Find something you’re passionate about and just go for it! No more excuses! Stop going to a job you hate. Stop living a life you dread. Stop allowing fear to be in the driver’s seat. I started with nothing. Some months did not know how I would pay my rent. But I said yes to every opportunity that presented itself. It was grueling at times. But you just.Keep.Swimming. This is not for the faint of heart or the lazy. Success will not magically appear at your door. It is hard work. If you love it though- you will welcome the challenge and so long as you stay focused, eventually, you will be blessed beyond measure!
