✨ 2,300+ participants enrolled in the Caring Gene® Program.
🗺️ Participants from each of the 30 counties served by the Caring Gene®.
🎓 65+ educational partners throughout New York State.
⚕️ 55+ healthcare facilities approved as service commitment sites.
🤝 15+ Caring Gene® employees dedicated to helping our participants.
📚 Endless new chapters for our participants, their families, and their communities.

Happy International Volunteer Day!

Today, IHA celebrates the incredible spirit of volunteerism and community giving!

We’re proud of our team’s dedication to making a positive impact through organizing food drives and back-to-school drives, in addition to supporting the Interfaith Partnership for The Homeless Adopt-A-Family program and Project: Cameron’s Story, which provides comfort to families with newborns in NICUs.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our staff who give their time and effort to make a difference in our community.

They'll be providing updates on important legislative matters affecting healthcare, including new funding opportunities for rural hospitals and workforce solutions. This week, we're celebrating the healthcare supply chain professionals who work tirelessly to keep our hospitals, nursing homes, and medical facilities running smoothly! 🏥

IHA is proud to recognize our member, Oswego Health, as they continue to lead innovative programs developing the healthcare workforce pipeline in Upstate New York.

By engaging students in healthcare careers early, Oswego Health supports and mentors them through employment opportunities and continuing education—all while retaining local talent in our communities. The success of this model speaks for itself through stories like Lauren and Aubrey Bush's journey.

We're excited to share that Iroquois Healthcare has received grant funding from the Cabrini Health Foundation to expand this proven approach to two additional sites in Upstate New York:

🏥 Adirondack Health (Saranac Lake) is partnering with North Country Community College and Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES

🏥 Cayuga Health, A Member of Centralus Health has formed a partnership with Tompkins Cortland Community College and Groton Central School District

Both programs will launch within the next 12 months. Congratulations to these members as they work to bring this transformative model to their local communities!
