Finger Lakes Ambulance at the Ontario County Fair! 🚑

We're thrilled to be at the Ontario County Fair alongside our dedicated community partners, the American Red Cross, providing essential on-site first aid and medical services to all fairgoers!

A huge shout-out to Canandaigua Emergency Squad for covering the grandstand events and handling all ground transports from the fair. It's truly great to collaborate with such committed organizations to ensure everyone's safety.

Learn Life-Saving Skills & Explore an Ambulance! Stop by the FLA booth conveniently located right next to the first aid station. You'll have the chance to learn life-saving CPR – a skill everyone should know! Plus, get an exciting tour of an ambulance and see the equipment our crews use every day.

A huge thank you too the Finger Lakes Ambulance for providing us on-site medical support at all our races! A big thanks to their awesome crew, Andrew Schermerhorn and Ashley Sykes, for their great work throughout the King of the Hill weekend!

Also a huge shout-out to Filer's PowerSports for always letting them use their UTV!! ( Which was just refreshed with some new sick graphics! 🔥 ) It is one of those things that we wish and are happy when they don’t have to make calls and head onto the track but if they have too, it’s always good piece of mind that they will be getting to the riders quickly & that makes all the difference when seconds matter!

Finger Lakes Ambulance at Hogback Hill Motocross!

We had a great day providing on-site medical services at Hogback Hill Motocross in Palmyra, NY today!

A big shout-out to our dedicated team members, Andrew Schermerhorn and Ashley Sykes, for their excellent work and a huge thank you to Filers for the use of their ATV! It makes getting to those in need much quicker and easier when every second counts.

We're thrilled to be partnering with Geneva Summerfest! ☀️ Come on down to the Geneva Recreation Complex RIGHT NOW to see Ambulance #5 on display. You'll also get to meet and explore vehicles from:

* New York State Troopers
* NYSEG
* Ontario County SWAT Team
* Ontario County Sheriff K9 Unit
* Geneva Police Department
* Geneva Fire Department

Its a wonderful experience for children of all ages!

Our deepest sympathies go out to Jeff's family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

The Ontario County Sheriff's Office honors the legacy of Jeff Harloff, retired Director of Emergency Management, who passed away today, July 9, 2025. With 31 years of dedicated service to Ontario County Fire and EMS, he was a steadfast leader and advocate for public safety. His impact on our community, and his commitment to service will be deeply missed and long remembered. Rest easy, Car 1.

Please join us in celebrating Kristina Allport's incredible achievement! She has successfully passed her National Registry Paramedic exam and secured her NYS Paramedic reciprocity. This is a huge milestone, and we couldn't be more proud of her commitment to excellence. Kristina will soon be starting her clearing time with us at Finger Lakes Ambulance. We're so excited to watch her grow in her new role.

Finger Lakes Ambulance is thrilled to announce that Tyler Hares has returned to Finger Lakes Ambulance as The Director of Clinical Care! Tyler was the Education Coordinator at FLA in 2018.

Tyler brings a ton of experience and an unwavering commitment to EMS. He currently works full-time as an Emergency Medical Services Instructor at Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES and as a Paramedic Adjunct Instructor at FLCC. On top of that, Tyler dedicates his time to many other areas within EMS, always pushing for better patient care across the board.

In his part-time role at FLA, Tyler will be instrumental in building and enhancing our training department. He'll focus on developing key areas like Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), our Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) program, and our Specialty Care Transport (SCT) program. He'll also be teaming up with Kevin Becker to continue developing our quarterly skills trainings, refining new hire onboarding procedures, and ensuring provider compliance. Ultimately, Tyler's work will significantly boost the patient care our providers deliver.

When Tyler isn't working in EMS, he's busy caring for his daughter and working on his small farm (you can even check him out on TikTok at Lazy Moose Acres!).

Connecting with our community is what it's all about! Finger Lakes Ambulance had an amazing time at the Red Wings Baseball First Responders Recognition Night at McDonough Park in Geneva last night.

A huge highlight of the evening was watching our very own Daryl Bryerton take the mound to throw out the first pitch! Thank you Daryl for staying on-site to chat with everyone and enjoy the game.

Shout out to the Red Wings for hosting this special night and to everyone who came out to show their support!
