Let’s be real. I don’t feel like doing a DAMN thing right now. This week I have been tired, cranky and lacking motivation. But every day I have made it a point to move my body, work my body and praise my body. I’ve got limited time before I’m back to full time work, running my child to activities and all other things that are just part of life. This week I’ve worked hard at keeping my momentum up to keep my anxiety from creeping in. Successful for the most part but I’m smart enough to know it’s always lurking in the wings, waiting for me to let down my guard. So I fight back by getting up and getting going even when I do not want to. This summer I have seen my body composition change. That is what I’m using to fuels me to push through when I’m not feeling it because I love where this is headed. Join me! 💪🏻

❄️Lessons from January ❄️
I set an overall intention or resolution for 2024 pertaining to overall health. I unexpectedly fell into Dry January but realize now that it was one small goal for a short amount of time. Do I feel better? Yes. Would I do it again? Absolutely. Am I better than someone who wasn’t dry? Nope. Am I proud of myself? Totally, but not just for not drinking. I’m proud of myself for committing to a goal and sticking to it. I made a promise to myself and kept it. January taught me that smaller goals can lead to greater successes. I’m looking forward to February and my new goals that I’m setting for myself. It turns out that taking care of yourself feels really good. ✌🏻🩷✨
