Learn Thumb-Free Deep Tissue Massage and/or the Foundations of Cupping
American Institute has partnered with Doreen Ellinwood, LMT and NCBTMB approved Continuing Education provider, to offer two amazing courses at the Somerset campus located at 80 Cottontail Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873; the massage clinic is on the first floor. Registration is open to current students, alumni, and all other massage therapists. Feel free to share this information! If you were unable to attend the two courses we recently held at the Clifton campus, here's another opportunity for you to learn new skills and get additional certifications.

Monday, 9/23/24 - Thumb-Free Deep Tissue – learn body mechanics and ergonomics for providing injury-free services, thumb-free deep tissue techniques for all parts of the body, and how to use your thumb safely. Learn to provide the deep-pressure massages that your clients are asking for without exhausting or injuring yourself. What to bring: lubricant and linens. This course is NCBTMB approved for 8 CE hours. 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Cost: $200

Monday 10/21/24 - Foundations of Cupping – learn how cupping works, when and how to perform cupping, and cupping techniques for hips, glutes, arms, pecs, legs and feet. This course is NCBTMB approved for 8 CE hours. 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. What to bring: lubricant, linens, and silicone cups, if you have them. Option to purchase a full set of LURE Essentials Cups for $60 from the instructor on the day of class; she accepts credit cards, Venmo, Zelle, and cash. Or you can borrow a set for a $20 deposit which will be returned to you at the end of class. Cost: $200
