Dr.L-->If you are on birth control, have been traveling with prolonged periods of inactivity, your calves look red or swollen and feel hot.

A man is injured at work and decides to file for temporary disability. The state denies his application but he has been out of work for six weeks and his employer won't take him back. Money is tight and he is fighting more with his partner. He feels worse everyday but he hasnt sought treatment, guidance or intervention. His partner moves out. He feels hurt, angry, frustrated, confused. His pain experience worsens further. He is scared to return to work but he must make ENDS MEET. This is the real world hitting you form every angle. Bio-Psycho-Social interplay. Not neccesarily in that order.

Real Life Q&A. I have been sick for a couple days now and I have random back pain on my right side Female | 17 years old

Dr.L-->I would wait 72H hours. You may have inflammatory pain secondary to the your recent illness. As your body stabilizes and inflammatory mediators diminish so should your back pain. If not, you can follow up with chiropractor for an evaluation. If you were in bed for a couple of days your back may be locked up and an adjustment can help.
