How often should you do a self-skin exam?
Almost daily!
Divide and conquer. Rotate to a different area each day. Use a full length mirror or have a close family member examine the back.
This rare skin lesion is seen in the setting of a family history of colon, & uterine cancer - Lynch Syndrome.
On the other hand, skin fungal infections are fairly common. Routinely look for the typical rash associated with a skin fungal infection. Also examine your skin for any abnormal lesions. After an adequate observation period, consult with your doctor.
