Meet Riya: a nurse, a mom, and an advocate—not just for her patients, but for herself and the autoimmune community.

For years, she’s balanced the demands of caregiving while battling two opposing autoimmune diseases: Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and Graves’ disease. One slows her down. The other speeds her up. Together, they’ve turned everyday into a challenge.

Riya’s story of living with both Hashimoto’s and Graves’ disease is a powerful reminder: even caregivers need care. Her journey is one of resilience, advocacy, and learning to listen to her own body.
