Continuing in our Hope Wrapped series from last week, our year was filled with impactful moments because of you! Your support brought hope in a lot of ways, but this one stood out for many reasons - Here’s our Hope Wrapped #4 🎁: The Legislative Fly-In.

In March, your generosity amplified the voices of millions by bringing together advocates from 16 states to meet directly with members of Congress. They advocated for patient-first policies and improved access to care. ❤️

The 2025 momentum is still strong, and your gift can make a difference. Give today to create even more hope, connection, and impact in 2026. give.autoimmune.org/givinghope2025

⭐️ Today in Sweden, Dr. Mary Brunkow, Dr. Fred Ramsdell, and Dr. Shimon Sakaguchi are receiving the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for groundbreaking discoveries about how the immune system protects the body instead of attacking it. 🧬🔬

In our latest podcast episode, Dr. Brunkow and Dr. Ramsdell join us to explain how their discovery of regulatory T cells and the FOXP3 gene is transforming the future of autoimmune disease treatment — moving us toward therapies that could reset the immune system. 🙌

Living with autoimmune disease as a young adult is complicated.

On Dec 28 at 1pm ET, members of our Young Adult Advisory Council are opening up about their journeys — diagnosis, symptoms, school, work, community, and more.

This is a chance for young people to find their community, and for parents, teachers, and supporters to better understand what young adults experience while navigating life with a chronic condition like autoimmune disease.

Join us for this insightful conversation.

Kristin’s autoimmune journey began when she woke up one morning so exhausted she couldn’t lift her head. What started as thumb pain quickly spread to burning feet, stiff hands, and daily swelling with no clear diagnosis. On a trip to Sri Lanka, her symptoms escalated.

“The pain was so bad I couldn’t get down the mountain. My husband had to carry me like a backpack.”

Even simple tasks became overwhelming. “One day I realized I couldn’t even open a water bottle, and that broke me.”

But by sharing her story, she found support. “People just want to help—they only need a way to show up for you.” 💛
