We had so much fun at our April Café & Marketplace event on Friday! 🌸

This recurring monthly event, hosted by our Life Skills clinic team on our Madison Heights campus, gives our teen and young adult clients the opportunity to use their creativity while "selling" their handmade items to parents and staff. Through this experience, they build valuable life skills in customer service, retail, communication, and more.

We're incredibly grateful to our Life Skills team for planning, organizing, and running this meaningful event, and to everyone who comes out to support our clients' learning and growth.

We’re excited to celebrate one of our incredible RBTs this month: Chanel! 🌟

Chanel joined our Madison Heights team in September 2024 as a Behavior Technician and earned her Registered Behavior Technician certification in May 2025. And Chanel receives on-going, well-deserved recognition from the BCBAs and Senior RBTs she works with. They comment on her thoroughness, dedication, ability to build meaningful connections with her clients, and the kindness and positivity she brings each day.

Chanel’s motivation to learn, grow, and give her best is clear in everything she does. She has become a trusted role model for technicians across our team and a valued part of the Healing Haven family.

We had a blast last week hosting our annual Autism Acceptance Month Spirit Week, where team members and clients were invited to dress up for each themed day! Each theme was thoughtfully designed to celebrate autism acceptance: Magnificent Mind Day with fun hats and hair, Superhero Day to honor the superheroes we have the privilege of working with, What’s Your Passion Day to showcase the unique interests and joys that make each individual special, Sensory Day to raise awareness of sensory sensitivities, and Autism Acceptance Day, where we proudly wore our 2026 Autism Acceptance Month team t-shirts.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our staff and clients who participated. Your spirit truly shone through and helped make it an incredible, fun-filled week of celebrating and spreading acceptance for those impacted by autism, and the many ways individuals with autism make our world richer. ❤️♾️
