A "Poly Family" refers to a family structure where the parents are in a polyamorous relationship, meaning they have multiple romantic partners, and therefore the children are raised by a network of adults beyond just their biological parents; while research suggests that children raised in poly families can experience benefits like a wider support system, the key factor is how the adults manage the dynamics to ensure a stable and loving environment for the child, as there can also be challenges related to navigating complex family structures and potential social stigma.
