Another green chef meal, curry spiced sweet potato wraps and a side mango slaw.

The first picture is how the meal came, but the tortilla was gluten. To avoid that, I used a rice paper wrap.

The side salad on that picture was a goji berry kale salad with pistachios.

Some day I’m going to get back to making meals myself, but these are a great option to avoid restuarant food, but still feel less stress by not having to meal prep each week.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

We’ve been enjoying plant based meals from Green Chef for a few weeks and this was the special meal for Valentine’s Day.

Mashed potatoes with herbs and vegan cream, herbed carrot fries, and mushroom cap steaks with a cherry balsamic glaze on top!

I am a huge flavor snob and I get bored having the same things over and over. If I get too bored, I end up eating processed crap and fast food or candy. To avoid that, we decided to sign back up for green chef meals for a while until I feel like doing some more cleansing.

I’m very happy with all the meals so far. The flavor is the best of all the meal services we’ve tried and they use organic produce (mostly). The sauces aren’t “perfect” but I know the alternative for me is worse so this is what we are doing for now and I couldn’t be happier! ❤️

So life’s been crazy and I’m just getting back to posting food from our camping trip the beginning of October. I was inspired by a post from and made these jackfruit Caesar boats for the trip.

My husband liked them, our son did not, but he doesn’t like anything that isn’t super simple so I wasn’t surprised by that. He did have some of the lettuce, sprouts, and croutons. I like it, other than the briny taste from the jackfruit. I didn’t rinse it long enough because we had limited water supply. So if you attempt anything with jackfruit, just make sure you rinse really really really really well 😁

Well I never posted the other camping dinners, but here’s my food prep to go to Battle Creek for the rally to ask to stop poisoning our children.

We want cleaner options, without dyes and unnecessary chemicals and preservatives. Hoping this will go amazing and we will see big changes on the shelves soon!

Also, just because I’m going to this, it doesn’t mean I plan to feed my family processed foods once the chemicals and dyes are removed. I just see it as a step in the right direction for those who do. It’s one less toxin the body has to deal with… one less cut to the body.

Message me if you’re going to be there too!

Camping dinner #1 - pineapple fried rice in lettuce boats.

I’ve never made this before and was sooooo happy my whole family liked it!

I made the rice ahead of time, which made it super easy to just re-heat and put inside the lettuce.

It would also be great for busy week days when we have sports or other after school events.

Thanks Alecia for hosting a Michigan MM meetup for everyone tonight. The food was soooo good and it was amazing to get to talk to more people that “get it”.

This is only my second meetup with others who choose to eat well and cleanse to heal (see what I did there all you people 🤣), and I really feel so much connection having these gatherings.

There isn’t anything weird or cult like about it. It’s truly just a potluck for people who eat a certain way because they’ve tried everything else and nothing helps their chronic health issues other than cleansing and living a less toxic life.

I’d say “nothing to see here”, it’s just friends getting together and eating some healing foods. But it is so much more than that. It’s feeling seen and understood.

Life for people who have struggle with health is challenging enough. Being around people who can’t understand that, or worse can’t accept your path, can be brutal.

It really is hard to wrap your head around avoiding staples most people eat, like gluten, eggs, dairy, corn, soy, processed foods, etc… especially if you’ve never had a physician reason to.

Having meetups with those who understand and accept you, no matter how far you are on the healing journey, is like finding a soul family that truly has unconditional love and compassion for you.

That doesn’t mean we want to replace our blood families or other friends. Sometimes it’s just nice to go to a gathering where you can be understood without having to defend your choices or getting weird looks. And to be able to enjoy ALL the food, instead of only being able to eat what you brought.

I’m so grateful to have found some people in the area. We don’t all live around the corner from each other, but it feels as if the connections are growing faster, and maybe life will be just a tiny bit easier knowing they aren’t too far away if I ever needed help or a compassionate connection.

So I guess my message for the night is “find your people”. Whether you’re a MM foodie, a sports fanatic, or a gamer, you need to find the people in life who get you and your passions, without the judgements.

School lunch ideas for the kiddos. My son is 9 now and needs more food than he used to, so we do rely on gluten free grains a lot for calories.

Breakfast is usually fruit and a piece of toast or waffle, occasionally pancakes if I have time to do that. Sometimes a smoothie, but that’s more a summer thing for us.

For his morning snack he gets fruit (usually strawberries) and we used to use the GF Aldi pretzels, but now we’ve replaced that with the oil free granola from

For lunch, it’s always cucumber or celery sticks, fruit, and then a version of GF noodles or rice. Today was the noodles with some herbamare (herbed salt).

Traveling has always been the number one reason I go off track with eating clean the way my body would like me to… high stress being the other main reason… and traveling is usually stressful for me so it’s a double whammy that usually ends with me standing in toxic food line at some point on the trip.

This trip to LA to attend the meet and greet was different because I was traveling with who has the same goals and gets all of it, and the people we met up with also get all of it.

If I found myself hungry, someone would have a safe option for me to snack on. The local restaurants also had clean options to choose from, unlike most places where I live, and then the amazing team provided clean food options for FREE at the after party!!!

Having so many options all around me made this easy and dare I say, stress free! It was really amazing and it was so easy to stay on track how I always want to, but seem to struggle with.

It was completely NORMAL to pull a melon out of your bag and eat it while standing in line waiting to meet Anthony. Or to grab a bottle of zinc and take a few dropperfuls. There were no funny looks or judgements.

This trip really gave me hope that this grassroots movement is changing the world quicker than I realized and pretty soon this will be normal everywhere, not just in LA.

Juice bars and fruit stands will be replacing the fast food chains. Grocery stores will carry the heavy metal detox smoothie and fresh celery juice. And people will be demanding the fragrances be removed from their stores.

Feeling hopeful for this movement to cleanse the planet and its people in my lifetime ❤️

Having a great time! So many beautiful people, and I’m amazed at the whole medical medium team for putting this together in such a thoughtful and compassionate way. It’s the little details that matter, and they’ve thought of them all!

It feels amazing to be “taken care of” by this team through this event. From the umbrellas outside, the ice packs to keep us cool, the free food, the after party, the gifts, the extra bathrooms outside, the clean food choices, the light blast, the song choices… I could go on and on.

When you choose the path of healing your body with foods and faith, it’s very easy to feel alone and like you have to do it all yourself. No one can really take care of you in the way you need because they don’t understand it.

Friends and family don’t know how to eat the way you eat, or why you can’t be in a house with air fresheners, or why you don’t want food cooked in aluminum foil, or why you’re so “difficult” and have to call the city to find out what days they spray the park with poison before you can commit to going there with your family and pets.

This is the first trip I’ve ever taken where all the people get it. Where there is food I can eat without worry. Where people understand all of it.

It feels safe and it feels hopeful because you see you aren’t really alone. You aren’t the only one going through the same struggles of getting up early to make food from scratch instead of taking the more conventional option of fast food or frozen waffles.

This last minute trip to LA has really been helpful to reconnect to why I do this, even though it’s hard a F@$ # some days.

Thank you so much to Anthony, SOC, and this wonderful community.
