Spend a few minutes barefoot in the grass (I know it’s still a little chilly 😉), really feel your feet against the earth, reach your body up toward the sky, and breath!! As those of you who are local to Clinton probably know, the Open Cupboard Food Pantry & Thrift Shop suffered a devistating fire on Sunday night!

Last year at my daughter’s school the student council ran a food drive for the pantry, and Alanna and I were one of the student/parents to help drop off the donations. Sue, the manager of the pantry gave us all a tour of the facility and explained how many people they help. It was really amazing! Sue had everything SO ORGANIZED and ready for the community members in need! This past November/December The Healing Journey also ran a food drive, and my clients and friends were very generous! The news of the fire to the food pantry and thrift shop is really a loss to the community!!

Message: As many of you are aware, there was a devastating fire at Open Cupboard Food Pantry & Thrift Shop last night, February 25th. The shop and pantry were both destroyed. Our number one priority is to assist our pantry clients, and we will be utilizing the Washington Basket to do this moving forward.

Our community has been so wonderful in asking how they can assist us in this challenging time. Because we do not yet have storage facilities for food, right now we are asking for monetary donations or Shop Rite gift cards. If you would like to donate, simply click the "How to Donate" tab above and it will take you to our donation page where you can use PayPal to assist us as we rebuild. Any Shop Rite gift cards can be sent to our PO box.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help you are able to give us as we work to rebuild and continue on our mission of Neighbors Helping Neighbors.

Happy to have been one of the sponsors for the 1st annual Clinton Winter Fest!! It was an absolutely beautiful day to be out and about in Clinton! My family and I had a great time! The festival runs until 4:00 today… you still have time to get there see the ice sculptures, have a hot chocolate, and dance with Dr D!

It’s been quite some time since I’ve posted! I’m not a big social media person, so life can easily get in the way of thinking about creating Facebook posts!

Today after dropping my 3.5yo son off at school, I headed to my 9yo daughters school to lead Gallery Time for her class; a time when parent volunteers come in and teach an art lesson to the kids, then they have time to create their own masterpieces! I’ve volunteered for this the last few years… it’s always fun!

I then decided to take a hike by myself… something I haven’t done in a long time! It was cold, but the ☀️ was shining the whole time and the sky was a perfect blue! It felt so good to get out in nature!! It always rejuvenates me! Finished the hike off with a some yoga!

Get out and enjoy nature!! 🌲 🍂 ☀️
