🔍 2025 OSHA Updates You Need to Know 🔍
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has introduced several important updates that all businesses should be aware of this year. These changes are designed to enhance workplace safety, ensure compliance, and reduce the risk of injuries:
1. Workplace Violence Prevention – OSHA has made significant strides in addressing workplace violence across various industries, including healthcare and social services. Make sure your workplace is equipped with the right policies and procedures to prevent and respond to these risks.
2. Heat Stress Safety – With the increasing global temperatures, OSHA has highlighted new guidelines around heat stress management. Ensure your team is protected from extreme heat, and review OSHA’s updated standards for monitoring and responding to heat-related illnesses.
3. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements – OSHA has updated several standards surrounding the use of PPE to better protect workers from hazards. This includes revising requirements for respiratory protection, eye and face protection, and hearing conservation.
4. Improved Reporting & Recordkeeping – Starting in 2025, OSHA is tightening reporting and recordkeeping requirements to improve the tracking of workplace injuries and illnesses. Stay up to date on your company’s compliance and ensure timely reporting.
We’re here to help you navigate these changes and ensure your business remains compliant and safe throughout the year. Let’s make 2025 the safest year yet! 🚧

A good Read!

When determining the best way to protect a worker from the hazards of working at height, it’s important to consider fall prevention before fall protection.

Prioritize Safety!!

Why is TRIR Important?
Regulatory Compliance: OSHA requires certain companies to submit injury and illness data electronically. High TRIRs can attract inspections.
Insurance Costs: A higher TRIR often leads to increased insurance premiums.
Safety Improvements: If your TRIR is above the industry average, it signals a need for better safety practices.
How to Calculate TRIR:
TRIR =(Number of Recordable Incidents x 200,000/ Total Hours Worked.

The factor of 200,000 represents the hours worked by 100 employees in a year (assuming 40 hours a week and 50 weeks a year).

Ensuring a low TRIR helps in maintaining a safe work environment and keeping operational costs down.

Heat exhaustion is the body's response to excessive loss of water and salt through excessive sweating. Workers with heat exhaustion should be cooled down immediately. Employers should train workers on the added heat load caused by exertion, clothing, and PPE. Find ways to keep your workers safe in the heat: https://bit.ly/3fst693
