With the recent approval from the CDC and state of Illinois guidelines, Mid-State Eye will be reopening starting Friday, May 1st with normal business hours from 8 am-5 pm. The safety of our patients, staff, and doctors continues to be our top priority, as we balance COVID-19 and the demand of serving our community. With our reopening, we have scheduled extra time in-between patient appointments to limit interactions and exposure to others while in our office.
In efforts to follow the federal social distancing guidelines and CDC’s recommendations for cleanliness and hygiene, the following protocols have been put in place to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
Our staff is:
* Washing our hands frequently (minimum of 20 seconds).
* Using Hypochlorous Acid in-between hand washing and after each patient encounter.
* Using Hypochlorous Acid disinfectant on k***s, counters, frames, equipment, etc. multiple times each day.
* Disinfecting frames after handling.
* Requiring any staff member feeling ill, with fever or cough, to stay at home.
For the health and safety of our doctors, staff, and others in our office, our patients are required to:
* Wear a mask or face covering while in office. If you do not have one, a mask will be provided to you at check-in. With shortages in P*E, Mid-State Eye appreciates your efforts to bring your own.
* Use Pure & Clean disinfectant spray on hands while at check-in desk.
* Wash hands prior to handling frames in our optical and place all frames handled in the supplied individual tray.
