Last week, we had our annual all-staff Christmas Party at Sandpiper Seafood. We had a festive time and had some great food! A special thank you to Sandpiper for accommodating our large crowd again, and for always showing us excellent hospitality! Also, a big thank you to Burney's Sweets & More of Clinton for catering some delicious desserts!

We presented our service awards this year to 5 recipients (2 not photographed). Collectively, our service award recipients have put in 70 years of service to Clinton Medical Clinic! We are grateful for our staff members and appreciate their dedication to our practice. Lastly, a special thank you to the wonderful a ca****la group The Hitmen for an incredible performance! Our very own Dr. Horton (blue hat) is a member of The Hitmen! We love spending this time in fun and fellowship with our staff.

We are so proud of Dr. Apolinario and his representation with the North Carolina Medical Society! His dedication to healthcare reform and quality are both honorable and dearly appreciated. Thank you for your advocacy, Dr. Apolinario!

NCMS is grateful for our delegation that attended the AMA Interim Meeting at the Ga***rd National Resort & Convention Center, National Harbor, MD! This meeting focuses on important issues for the medical profession, such as Medicare payment reform, prior authorization reform, scope-of-practice defense, technology (including AI), physician well-being, and cybersecurity.

Our delegation consisted of the following physicians: Rebecca Hayes, MD–Chair; Mary Ann Contogiannis, MD; Karen Smith, MD; Arthur Apolinario, MD; Royce Syracuse, MD; and Justin Hurie, MD. NCMS President, Carl J. Westcott, MD and Past President Eileen Raynor, MD also joined the delegation in representing our North Carolina membership.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve, everyone! PSA to our parents with newborn-12-month-old babies: Pass the gravy, not the baby.

While holiday gatherings are a time of communion and catching up, it is also a time where our babies without established immune systems are vulnerable to the spreading germs.

A helpful tip? Try wearing your baby in a personal wrap/carrier! This will help keep baby close to you throughout the festivities.

Remember, we as adults have had the time to develop our immune systems over the years...our little ones haven't. Be confident in your decisions that best suit you, and your family.

We are proud to announce that our Pediatric Department received recognition from Blossom ABA Therapy for our partnership/advocacy within the Autism Community!

This group of pediatric providers use their collaborative spirit, clinical expertise and unwavering compassion to provide quality, patient-centered care to our patients. We are thrilled to have this department as part of our CMC family.

October 6-12 is National Physician Assistant Week! We want to wish a very happy PA Week to our very own, Ms. Carrie Green, PA-C! Ms. Green has been an Advanced Practice Provider as part of our CMC family for nearly 9 years. We thank her for her excellent service to our clinic and to our patients within the community!
