Hey everyone!! I've got to have both hips replaced and the first surgery will be Monday the 7th. I'll be out for two weeks, hopefully less. Kelly will be here to take care of phone calls, scheduling, billing, etc. I should return on July 21, Monday, but will probably only be working part time for the first few days slowly returning to our normal hours as my hip joint heals up. What's so great about America? Yup, I'm going to tell you (not one soul better comment about the political candidates either - NO ONE!) The Wall Street Journal ran a poll which found that the number of American who say patriotism is important to them has dropped from 70% in 1998 to 38% today. Well, the American Dream isn't over............not even close!!
During most of human history, tyrants and aristocracy ruled. They could deny their citizens freedoms or confiscate their property OR (even worse) throw the people into military or constant war if they wished. When our nation was born in 1776, it was REVOLUTIONARY because now the ruling was in the hands of the people. Our Declaration of Independence is a timeless statement of inherent human rights, the true purposes of government and the limits of political authority. Our core beliefs are listed in the Constitution and Bill of Rights, the longest serving foundations of liberty in history. Our founding fathers created an incredible era of widespread flourishing. Don't listen to news outlets because you'll never hear how GREAT we have it!
- Americans are just 4.2% of the world's population, but we have 25% of its annual economic output
- Our economy is #1 by a huge margin........... #2 and #3 (China and Germany) combined aren't close to the USA
- 8 of the 10 largest companies in the world are American. No other country has more firms in the Fortune 500
- We are the world leader in technological innovation: the telephone, TV, airplane, internet, heart transplants, and blood transfusions were invented here
- The USA also leads in biotechnology, quantum computing, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence. The world's top five corporations in spending on R & D are American
- Transformative companies like Apple, Alphabet, Meta Platforms, Amazon, Microsoft, Netflix, Instagram, Tesla, Uber, and Nvidia are all founded here
- The US dollar is the world's reserve currency. It is used in almost 90% of international transactions
- No other nation has produced more winning Olympians
- Americans are the most charitable people on Earth, our aggregate donations topped $557 billion in 2023

Geography helped some..............Buffered by two oceans and a rugged frontier, we had plenty of cheap land and vast natural resources - like Russia and Brazil.................
People around the world don't talk about the Costa Rican dream or the Greek dream. Only one nation is recognized as The Land of Opportunity. Anyone with ambition and work ethic can move up the economic ladder, just be productive! Our economy has grown faster than any country's economy for the past 75 years and our economic dominance is accelerating!!
If you have doubts, take in this last bit of info: Mississippi has the LOWEST average per citizen income of all the 50 states but that is still HIGHER than the average citizen's income in France! According to Statistica, the average financial wealth per US adult is around $550,000. Compare that to the average European adult of $85,000. The Census Bureau reports that American poverty is at an all time low.
In short, Americans earn higher incomes, have greater assets, and enjoy higher investment returns because the American brand of capitalism is tilted toward dynamism, with freer markets and less government intrusion. Our country embodies timeless ideals, an optimistic attitude and an enthusiastic endorsement of the pursuit of happiness.
I hope this Independence Day, you'll join me in celebrating the 248th anniversary of the BEST thing that ever happened to the world politically and economically!!
