Congratulations to Ngan P., clinical pharmacy specialist, who was recently recognized at the Employee of the Year and McNulty Award Luncheon on March 19 at the Bethesda North Marriott. Hosted by The Healthcare Council, this event brought together Employees of the Year from healthcare organizations across our region, with Ngan representing our hospital.

Ngan was joined at the event by Dr. Francisca S., director of pharmacy, and Sarah E., clinical coordinator in the pharmacy. Sarah originally nominated Ngan for Associate of the Month, an honor she received in December, making her eligible for consideration as our 2025 Associate of the Year.

Congratulations, Ngan, on this well-deserved recognition and for representing our organization so well!

Recently, our EI&D Council hosted "Hair Care is Healthcare," an engaging session led by Dr. Renee Roberts-Turner of Children’s National Hospital.

The discussion highlighted how hair and scalp considerations are an important part of patient dignity and equitable care, and how cultural understanding can help reduce bias in delivering patient care. Attendees walked away with practical insights to support more inclusive, patient-centered care across our organization.

Join us in thanking our EI&D Council for bringing this important conversation forward.
