BUILD THE CHAPEL — NEW DESTINY

We’re not just building walls — we’re building a place where heaven meets earth.

The New Destiny Chapel will be the heartbeat of everything we do: a house of worship, prayer, and restoration.
Every morning our men gather to pray. Every weekend families reunite here. Every chair, every light, every song tells a story of someone who found hope again.

This is more than a building — it’s a promise.
A promise that we’re planting roots for revival, right where lives are being rebuilt.

💪You can help raise the walls.
Brick by brick. Prayer by prayer. Gift by gift.

🤝Let’s build a chapel that will stand as a symbol of what God can do with broken pieces and willing hearts.

Help us raise it. Help us raise hope.

How Can Life Obstacles Disrupt a Person’s Recovery?

Even with a strong support network, a sober work environment, and a commitment to abstaining from drugs and alcohol, individuals in recovery may still encounter challenges. Completing a treatment program does not always eliminate substance cravings, which can continue—sometimes mildly, sometimes more intensely—depending on the person and their history.

Various life stressors can make it harder to maintain progress in recovery. Traumatic or overwhelming events may trigger a return to substance use, including situations such as:

The death of a loved one

Losing a job

Facing foreclosure

Going through a divorce

Experiencing child custody conflicts

❤️‍🩹Practicing Self-Care to Restore Hope in Recovery

Many people working through recovery become so focused on their goals that they unintentionally neglect their own self-care. This can lead to heightened stress, which—when sustained—can feel overwhelming. Without proper self-nurturing, individuals may begin to lose hope, and substance cravings may resurface, increasing the risk of relapse. For these reasons, self-care is a vital part of the recovery journey.

According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), engaging in regular self-care can reduce stress, strengthen the immune system, and improve overall mood. Examples of self-care practices include:

🌱Getting regular exercise to boost endorphins

🌱Maintaining a nutritious diet for better health

🌱Prioritizing sleep to increase daily energy

🌱Exploring relaxing hobbies to build confidence

🌱Setting realistic goals to enhance motivation

🌱Practicing gratitude to foster empathy

🌱Staying connected with others for continued support

It is just as good to give thanks on the mountain top of good times as it is in the valley of hardships. In the valley is where we grow our faith, see Gods strength in us and learn how close and loving God can be.

🙌We are thankful for God's faithfulness and for His Word to keep us in all circumstances.

It started with one man; he wanted to be baptized soon. It's November. The days are getting colder, and we can only baptize outdoors. He didn't care how cold it was; he wanted to be baptized. We decided to do it on Wednesday, November 12. Since we were going to baptize one, we decided to open it up to anyone else who wanted to be immersed. Another guy signed up. A few days later, another client added his name to the list. On Tuesday, four more men were interested. On Wednesday, one more man came forward right before we started. We baptized nine men, outside, in cold weather (but warm water), so they could make their public statement of faith. It was a great demonstration of commitment and conviction. Pictured is William Allen, the client who pursued baptism no matter the weather. We're proud of and happy for these nine men.

Our History

New Destiny Treatment Center was born out of a vision to bring recovery to anyone caught in addiction. In the winter of 1992, plans were formulated to open up a treatment center for the fall of 1993. There were a total of 14 men enrolled at that time. Now, by the grace of God, we are a 65 bed facility.

Dr. Robert Bolois PhD implemented a 9 month Inpatient program for men. A Rebirth takes place. Inpatients new destinies are brought about by a full schedule of Group/Family/Individual counseling, Nutrition education, Anger Management, 12 Step program, Understanding the Addictive Brain, Spiritual Formation (Basics of Christianity), Medication Management, Daily Exercise, Nightly Chapel, Mental Health services and GED Readiness for those in need. Art and Yoga are available on a voluntary basis.

Our Director and Physicians also saw a need for an Outpatient program. In 2010 New Destiny began treating men and women suffering from addiction on our 13acre campus. The Outpatient program provides Christian counselors, Medication management, Urinalysis and Relapse prevention.
