We thought it would be a fun idea to start doing “did you know” posts a few times a week so we can share who we are and what we do here at The Salt Leaf - Clinton, CT ☺️

So we will start at the beginning… We are Tim and Christie 👋, we live right here in Clinton, CT. We opened up The Salt Leaf in August of 2024.

I (Christie) worked as a veterinary technician for over 27 years, over 21 years at Shoreline Animal Hospital right here in Clinton and I still fill in and help out as needed. I also run an online shop where I sell crystals, gemstones and custom made pendulums.

Tim worked as a chef in previous life and was the owner of Ryan’s Driftwood Cafe here in Clinton. You now know it as Scottish Dave’s Pub, great place! If you haven’t been you need to go!

The Salt Leaf was created when Tim wanted to open up a brick and mortar for my online business. I was hesitant since I valued working from home and making my own hours. When on vacation in 2021 we ended up in a salt room (Halotherapy) in Phoenix, AZ and Tim’s Asthma improved! We said to each other this is an amazing benefit and “we can do this!” There are still alot if people who don’t know about Halotherapy and its benefits, so how do we get someone to walk through the door? Then came teas, perfect healthy addition to the trifecta of halotherapy & spiritual wellness supplies. The Salt Leaf was born!

In later “did you know” posts we will dive more into what we do and how we to it. Our mission is to bring health and wellness to the Clinton & beyond community 💜
