Many residents are without power yet again because of last night's storms. Please, everyone, check on your neighbors and the elderly in our community. This week is an extremely dangerous week with the potential for more storms this evening/tonight and the heatwave coming to our area. We will be seeing temperatures that will feel like 100+ in most areas going as high as 110+.

It cannot be stressed enough: DRINK WATER and STAY HYDRATED!

If you or anyone around you have any symptoms of heat related illnesses, please seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY or call 911. If you see outside workers, check on them and maybe give them a water or sports drink.

Also, many people are running generators to help with the loss of electricity. Please remember to keep your generators at a safe distance from your home - which is a minimum of 20 feet away from your house. Generators emit lethal doses of carbon monoxide, and when these exhaust fumes are near doors and open windows, they become deadly inside your house.
