We are a full service funeral home which offers a wide variety of options for our families at their time of need. We strive to make this time as smooth and stress free as possible. We will assist our families with the funeral details along with the after care that is involved, we are happy to help with filing insurance claims and will assist you with any and all paperwork that is needed. We also encourage any questions regarding pre-planning your funeral. We can plan it your specific needs and wants. Pre-Planning your funeral helps your loved ones know exactly what your wishes are and removes questions or doubts that they might have. Larry graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science December 7, 1972 and shortly after purchased Kuhns Funeral Home with his wife Shirley from Ted Kuhns. There him and his wife lived on top of the funeral home for over 20 years and raised three children Casey, Holly and Philip. During the this time they also ran ambulance calls and worked with the Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department answering the fire calls for years. Before there where cell phones and pagers Larry and Shirley had help taking care of the phones, Larry's mother Ruth also had a line in her house and would answer the calls for them and several local ladies would come to the house and phone sit for him. Larry has also had a familiar face at the funeral home for years Clyde "Curly" Richards. Clyde was a graduate of Pittsburgh Institute Mortuary Science on March 24, 1956 and helped with the running of the funeral home with Larry up till his passing on April 5, 2005. He was the door man with a smile and sweet hug everyone in Clintonville became used to seeing. Timothy Matthews did his internship with Larry and also graduated from PIMS January 17,1997 and is still a valuable assets to the funeral home. Currently Larry's daughter, Holly, has been operating the business while Larry enjoys taking care of his grandchildren and enjoying his leisure time. She also is a graduate from PIMS, gradating June 4, 2003. Holly's husband, Jon Weaver has also graduated from PIMS in 2012, they have together purchased the former David C. McEntire Funeral Home in Knox which they renamed McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home. At McKinley's they have recently enclosed the old breezeway and made a new entrance for the funeral home and welcomes everyone to stop in and take a look. Everyone at McKinley Funeral Home wants to thank all the wonderful families they have been blessed with working with over the past 40 years and will strive to maintain the level of service that their families deserve. Holly looks forward to serving the community and celebrating the next 40 years with the help of her husband and staff.
