Our assistant director found an activities page for assisted living homes and it is full of good ideas. One of them being a home in Utah that is asking for "Easter" mail for the residents. In the comments were tons of facilities writing their address.
So this weekend the residents colored Easter eggs with their names on the back to send to other facilities. Our director wrote a letter and gave all sorts of fun facts about Michigan and our facility!
We are hopeful to get some mail back. We sent some to California, Texas, Utah, Louisiana, etc. 🐰✝️🌷

Yesterday a couple of the ladies with our staff member Joslyn, played a fishing game at the table! The laughs were the best! 🤣🥰

Yesterday we had an AWESOME St. Patty's Day! 💚🤏🏻☘️
We did a photo op, did some St. Patty's Day trivia and even had Chelsea from Swan Hospice stop by and do Shamrock shakes and more trivia! 😁

Had a WONDERFUL performance by someone new yesterday! Kim French with Free2B Music Ministries came by and played a wonderful variety of music and sounded so good! The residents were all singing along thee entire time! 🎶

Yesterday the residents and staff bundled up and enjoyed the 55° weather for a few! Fresh air and Vitamin D always help the winter blues! 🌞

Yesterday we had a beautiful and insightful service from our Deacons Mark and Dana. The residents enjoyed music and worship, as always! 🙌🏻

We also got some beautiful flowers from one of our residents and her daughter for national caregiver day today. The thought and recognition is always so kind and appreciated❤️

Couple of nights ago we enjoyed some coloring before dinner and yesterday had a blast enjoying Elvis! 🎶
