Kidney patients hear a lot of advice every day.

Eat this.
Avoid that.
Do this exercise.
Stop this food.
Fix this habit.

But very few people talk about this truth:

Some days, your body doesn’t need fixing.
It needs understanding.

If you’re living with kidney disease, there will be days when:

you feel tired for no clear reason

your body feels heavy

your mind feels foggy

motivation drops

fear comes quietly

That does NOT mean you’re failing.
That does NOT mean things are getting worse.

It means your body is processing a lot.

Progress with kidney health is not linear.
Good days and difficult days exist side by side.

What matters is:

consistency over perfection

patience over panic

understanding over fear

If today feels slow, let it be slow.
Healing doesn’t always announce itself loudly.

Sometimes it happens quietly, in the background.

💚 If you needed to read this today, you’re not alone.

Thanksgiving has come a gone. Many CKD patients had to watch what they ate or not even eat a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. I myself while being on PD can eat it to a point. I still have to watch for those high Potassium and Phosorius foods. But I did take my binders and enjoyed a good meal and company at the dinner table. I know there were some or many that could not, and for them I am sorry. Not sure why I posted this, it was just a thought that was rambling in my head.
On another note, It's been over 3 in a half years that I have been on the transplant list waiting for the call to make my way to Detroit, to Henry Ford Hospital. Stil hoping to have someone get tested even and be a match for a living Donar. Hey even if you do not match with me, you might be a match for someone else and a donor swap could happen.

Oscar-nominated actor Jesse Eisenberg announced on the TODAY Show that he will donate a kidney to a stranger this December in an act known as an altruistic or non-directed donation.
“I got bitten by the blood donation bug,” he said. “It’s essentially risk-free and so needed. It’s a no-brainer.”
Eisenberg began the process through NYU Langone Health and says his family will be protected under the National Kidney Foundation’s voucher program, which prioritizes loved ones should they ever need a transplant.
More than 90,000 Americans are waiting for a kidney transplant. Living donors like Eisenberg are helping bridge the gap—one life-saving gift at a time.

Today I am 56 and I just want to wish others that may have a birthday today or soon. Life now is hard and even harder when you are on dialysis and on the list waiting for the call. Stay strong, the day will come.
