Our beloved Sadie, doing what she does best.

Sadie’s care and compassion for her patients are what set her apart. She genuinely listens, empathizes, and brings a wealth of knowledge to every interaction. She is always looking for ways to grow and improve as a physical therapist, frequently sharing insights from the latest research she has been reading.

We are blessed to work alongside her, and her patients are fortunate to have her guiding them away from a life of pain, dizziness, and discomfort and toward greater confidence, improved mobility, and healing.

Thank you for all that you do, Sadie!

Today we’re giving a big shoutout to the hunk behind the scenes, Casey Smith ! 😍

At Mountain Laurel, Casey makes sure our technology is up to s***f, our building is taken care of, our taxes and finances are in order, and Annette has the support she needs to keep things moving forward.

Casey does so much behind the scenes that people may not always see, but we sure do appreciate it. His hard work, problem-solving, and steady support make a huge difference for all of us.

Casey, thank you for all you do.💗 We couldn’t do it without you!

Why the goggles? 👀

When someone comes in with dizziness, imbalance, lightheadedness, or headaches, the first step is always listening to their story. When did it start? What makes it worse? Does it happen when you roll over, look up, turn quickly, walk through a busy store, or spend time on screens?

Then we look deeper.

The eyes and inner ear are closely connected, and subtle eye movements can give us important clues about what may be contributing to symptoms. Vestibular First goggles help us observe and record those eye movements more clearly, especially when we are assessing for vestibular conditions that can be hard to see with the naked eye.

That information helps us create a more specific plan instead of guessing.
For some patients, that may mean treating vertigo. For others, it may mean working on balance, visual motion sensitivity, neck-related dizziness, headache triggers, or how the brain and body are processing movement.

At Mountain Laurel Physical Therapy, we use tools like these because dizziness deserves a thorough evaluation — and you deserve answers, clarity, and a plan built around you.

Vestibular migraine can affect so much more than just your head. It can show up as dizziness, motion sensitivity, visual overwhelm, imbalance, difficulty tolerating busy environments, and panic.

Vestibular rehab can help by improving balance, reducing motion sensitivity, building tolerance to movement, and giving you practical strategies to better manage symptoms and flare-ups.

At Mountain Laurel Physical Therapy, we provide one-on-one care to help you better understand your symptoms, feel more confident in your body, and get back to the activities you love. 🤍

She is passionate about helping patients understand what is going on, feel more confident in their bodies, and get back to the activities they love.

Migraines are more than just a headache — they often follow a pattern.

From early warning signs…
to neurologic changes…
to the migraine itself…
and even into recovery — your body is giving signals along the way.

Understanding the stages of a migraine can help you:
• recognize patterns
• catch symptoms earlier
• better manage triggers and recovery

Not everyone experiences every stage, and symptoms can look different for each person — but you are not alone in what you’re feeling.

At Mountain Laurel Physical Therapy, we help patients make sense of dizziness, headaches, and migraine-related symptoms so they can feel more in control and confident in their daily life. 🤍

Dry needling with electrical stimulation can be a powerful tool in physical therapy to help reduce muscle tension, improve mobility, decrease pain, and support better muscle activation. By combining dry needling with gentle electrical stimulation, we can target irritated or overactive muscles in a way that often helps patients get meaningful relief and improved function.

At Mountain Laurel Physical Therapy, this treatment is never used in isolation. It is part of a thoughtful, individualized plan of care designed to address the root of the problem and help patients move, feel, and function better. For many people, it can be an incredibly effective tool in the rehab process. 🤍
