Just a reminder that you might be using the right tools the wrong way. Sometimes to solve an issue, we must get creative and repurpose that which is “normal” to make sense in our situation.

Rehabbing my knee from injury these past couple months has given me the opportunity to practice the essence of MDRT in the real world and apply it to body mechanics and positions to carry on pain-free!

If you need help with your work station or any activity correction, I’d be happy to discuss solutions at our next appt!

There’s a couple quick updates as we head towards summer I’d like to share!

While many basic operating expenses are rising for my practice, I am also seeking out more quality education which is taking me further and further away from the state. To maintain and enhance the level of competency you’ve come to expect at Cloud 9, I will be raising rates to the following as of May 1st, 2025:

60m - $100

90m - $140

2hr - $180

However, I’m ALSO announcing, as a celebration of the last month of my 22nd year serving you, I will be offering a special 22% off ANY 3-pack of services until June 16th when I begin my 23rd year of massage! You can add these on to any package you may still be working through, re-up mid-year, share a gift, or try one out finally at this great rate!

If you have a session before June 16th, we can make the purchase then, but if you are booked out past, or not booked at all, shoot me a message and we will get it sorted.

I’ve decided session rates will remain the same this year ($90, $125, $160-2hr), and I’m offering significant savings off those prices for purchasing any three or more of your favorite session lengths:

Started my two weeks “off” yesterday. As many of you already know bc I can’t stop talking about my excitement, I’ll be training in Maine with Tom Myers if Anatomy Trains after over a decade of waiting! Looking forward to how much this three-day workshop will enhance my treatments!!

Body Mindfulness PSA! It’s a twofer today!!

Don’t forget to alternate through all FOUR side shoveling movements while digging out this weekend:

Shovel to opposite side, shovel to same side, switch your grip, shovel to opposite side, shovel to same side, switch grip, repeat. Take just a few scoops in each position before moving to the next movement.

While the main benefit of this method is to distribute the workout throughout the body, the added benefit of small breaks as you switch movements and grips prevents you from going to far too fast resulting in not only spasms, tight backs, but also heart attacks!

And don’t forget to reward yourself with hot cup of tea to replenish, warm, and repair that throat from all the cold air and exertion so it’s not susceptible to the bugs going around! Echinacea is best this time of year.
