5 fun facts about me:

1.) When I was living in NYC, I started this Instagram account 10 years ago when my son was a toddler, thus creating the village I lacked IRL.

2.) I am an only child with an only child, and I love being a mom. (Ok, maybe that’s 2 facts in 1)

3.) We have 3 indoor cats and 2 outdoor cats.

4.) For the past 3.5 years, I've been learning Italian for fun.

5.) One of my favorite things to do is to build up people and root for their successes. 🎉

It's a battle as old as time...

Last night at the Oscars, Jessie Buckley said something that stayed with me: “the beautiful chaos of a mother’s heart.”

And I haven’t stopped thinking about it.

Because motherhood is exactly that - chaos, love, exhaustion, devotion, worry, strength… all happening at the same time, all the time.

And yet somehow, it’s often made invisible.

Mothers are expected to hold everything together, to give endlessly, to anticipate needs before they’re spoken… and then they call it “just being a mum.”

Just.

There is nothing just about it.

There is no job description for the emotional labour, the mental load, the constant background thinking, the quiet sacrifices no one sees.

We celebrate big wins, big careers, big moments on stage -
but the everyday, relentless, unseen work of mothers?
It’s normalised. Expected. Overlooked.

And maybe it’s time we stopped doing that.

Because behind every “functioning” family, every calm home, every child who feels safe… there is a woman carrying far more than anyone acknowledges.

The beautiful chaos of a mother’s heart indeed.

Not invisible. Not ordinary.
Extraordinary đź©· so grateful it got the stage it deserves last night!
