Dakota is 7 years old and has been battling Stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma since 2021. He has gone through many rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. He relapsed while on treatment December 26th, 2024 with a large tumor that blocked his liver from draining. He restarted chemotherapy again. Unfortunately, his most recent scans in May showed new growth in his chest and that the tumor at his liver had grown. Currently, we are waiting to hear from a doctor in Florida, so his doctor can biopsy the tumor and send it to them for genetic testing. The doctor in Florida will test different chemotherapies on the tumor to see what it responds well with to come up with a treatment plan specifically for Dakota. While we wait on that he will begin a new chemotherapy after the biopsy. Smyrna SC ❤️
