So, what exactly is orthopaedic trauma?

Summer is officially here. ☀️ You and your family can enjoy plenty of summer activities! Here's how to be mindful of your joint and bone health this summer to keep the fun:

💪 Warm up and stretch your muscles and joints prior to any physical activities.
⚽ Wear protective gear such as helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, and proper footwear when participating in sports or physical activities.
💧 Drink water to stay hydrated throughout the day, especially as the days become hotter.
✋Listen to your body if you experience pain or discomfort. Don't overexert yourself and take breaks when necessary.

Dr. Kollmorgen, along with several colleagues in orthopaedics, conducted a study on patients who underwent arthroscopy and periacetabular osteotomy surgeries for hip dysplasia or instability.
