We’re proud to recognize Office Manager Deanna at one of our cardiology offices here on the Clovis Community campus and her team for the life-saving care and quick thinking they showed in a critical moment.

When a patient in their waiting room suddenly became unresponsive, Deanna and her team quickly recognized something wasn’t right. Within seconds, they stepped in: checking on the patient, calling for help and starting CPR.

It wasn’t just one person. It was a team effort. With Deanna helping guide the moment, everyone knew their role, stayed calm and worked together to care for the patient... even making sure the patient's service dog was looked after, too.

Because they acted quickly, the patient regained a pulse before emergency crews arrived. After receiving care at Clovis Community, the patient is now doing well and even came back to visit just days later.

For Deanna, it’s simple: she’s grateful for her team and how they showed up for their patient and each other. 💙

We’re proud to share the continued growth of our Emergency Nurse Residency Program here at Clovis Community, made possible through our partnership with the Emergency Nurses Association.

Since launching our first cohort in March 2024, 48 registered nurses have begun their journey toward becoming skilled emergency nurses. We’re now welcoming our fifth cohort, six new graduates (pictured) who started the program this month and will soon be caring for patients in our emergency department.
