The Eastern Plains Lodge #11 is located in the Eastern part of "The Land of Enchantment", Clovis, New Mexico. An a part of the Fraternal Order of Police, which is the world's largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, with more than 325,000 members in more than 2,100 lodges. We are the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. We are committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation. No one knows the dangers and the difficulties faced by today's police officers better than another officer, and no one knows police officers better than the FOP.

Our thoughts & Prayers are with our Brothers & Sisters and their families at the Cannon Base Police during this difficult time. Our LEO members are in mourning along with the all the men and women of the 27 Special Operations Security Forces Squadron. 22 year old Jacob W. Askew was critically injured in a head on vehicle collision on Veterans Day 11 November 2025 and succumb to his injuries on 13 November surrounded by his Family, Blood & Blue. Texas DPS reported Jacob attempted to avoid a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction but was struck head on. The Men & Women of Eastern Plains Lodge #11 FOP want to extend their condolences to Jacob’s Mom, Dad and entire Family & All his fellow LEO Brothers & Sisters at the Cannon Base Police on the loss of Jacob W. Askew who died after being involved in an off duty vehicle crash Southeast of Farwell Texas. May He Rest In Peace & may God comfort his Family, blood and Blue & everyone that knew him✝️

Today we honor all veterans—past and present—whose courage and sacrifice protect our freedoms and inspire us every day.

Nominations for the annual Cops & Kids: Christmas shopping event are now live on the Clovis Police Department's website!

If you know of or are a family that meets the following criteria, please submit a nomination form at the link below.

1. Children currently residing in Clovis, New Mexico, or the surrounding area,
2. Be between the ages of 3 and 13 years old at the time of nomination, not day of the event,
3. Whose families are experiencing financial hardship, and/or who may otherwise not be able to purchase gifts for their child or children this holiday season, and
4. Have not been selected for Cops & Kids Christmas in the previous year

Nominations are due to Clovis Police Department no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 5th.
Incomplete or incorrect nominations will not be accepted or eligible for selection.
Final selection for participation is determined by a committee of Clovis Police Department officers, staff, and other area law enforcement personnel.
Guardians of selected children will be contacted by CPD with shopping day details directly.
