We are thrilled to celebrate Aubrey Zimmer on passing her licensing exam with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and officially becoming a fully licensed therapist on July 31st, 2025!
Earning full licensure in California is no small feat. It begins with years of academic dedication—first a bachelor’s degree, then a rigorous master’s program in counseling or marriage and family therapy. From there, candidates complete over three thousand clinical hours under supervision of a fully licensed clinician. They are required to meet for at least 104 weeks with their supervisors for guidance, all the while balancing the demands of client care with ongoing training and professional development in between. And this doesn’t include the personal growth journey every clinician makes along the way!
After years of hard work, the journey culminates in passing the BBS licensing exam—a challenging four hour long test of clinical knowledge, laws, ethics, and judgment. Aubrey’s accomplishment reflects countless hours of studying, a deep commitment to growth, and a steadfast passion for helping others heal.
Congratulations, Aubrey! Your dedication and perseverance inspire us all, and we are so excited to see the impact you will continue to make in the lives of those you serve.
