Contact your House Representatives and local Senators let them know that cutting access to good healthcare for older Americans has to end! Every voice matters. Many in our community have paid into Medicare their entire lives, and now, more than ever, we must ensure that Medicare is there when they need it.
We encourage you to join us in standing up for no more Home Health payment cuts by supporting the Preserving Access to Home Health Act. The Preserving Access to Home Health Act is critical in stopping further cuts to home health services, which are essential for many seniors in Grundy County and surrounding communities. This bill repeals certain payment adjustments for home health services under Medicare that are based on behavioral changes. It also requires the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission to incorporate certain information into its evaluations of the financial performance and impact of home health agencies, including trends under Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other payers with respect to home health services.
As a small family business providing home health care, weβve seen firsthand how these services help individuals regain their independence, recover from illness or injury, and live with dignity in the comfort of their own homes. We hope our government will continue to prioritize the health, well-being, and longevity of all its citizens.

βData confirming declines in access and poorer patient outcomes strongly suggest CMS should not implement the cut proposed for 2025,β added Cunningham. βLikewise, this raises the need for action by Congress to pass the Preserving Access to Home Health Act (S.2137/H.R. 5159) this year to stop future Medicare cuts to the home health benefit.β)
