The Trevor Project has released the link for the 2025 LGBTQIA+ Youth Survey. Please share this link with any LGBTQIA+ Youth who are between the ages of 13-24.

Now, more than ever, this survey is important. The current administration has purposely canceled all federally funded research on LGBTQIA+ individuals.

Their strategy is that they state things like "that's junk science" there's nothing saying that in research..."

There's nothing that says it in research because THEY ERASED THE RESEARCH THAT WAS THERE. AND, THEY ARE NOT ALLOWING NEW RESEARCH TO HAPPEN.

This is not a new strategy. This strategy was copied direcly out of the N**i playbook. This is what happened in Germany when the records of the Institute for Sexual Research in Berlin were burned by N**i youth and N**i troops.

Knowledge is power and they know that. They are trying to eliminate the knowledge.

The best counter is to do the research anyway. Publish the studies and the books anyway. Tervor project is invested in doing so. Let's help them out.

Please see that every LGBTQIA+ Youth person you know has access to this survey.

The application for the wait list will be open for ONLY 9 HOURS.

The application will open on May 15, 2025 at 9 am. It will close again at 6 pm.

The application that will be used during this opening is a short form and if selected, there will be additional steps to applying in the future. Watching the dismantling of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs across the corporate culture of the United States is a giant step backward from the society we had just a couple of months ago. The narrative we are currently hearing from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Wash DC is false. DEI programs are representative of the purpose behind the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Diversity provides us with strength because diverse companies are a depiction of the diverse society they serve.

Equity ensures an even playing field which allows the strengths of each person within to shine.

Inclusion allows us all to be a part. Each of us is important, and all of us are needed.

For those of us who have poured our blood, sweat, and tears into DEI work, the world is feeling particularly dark at the moment. Realize that despite the step back into a place of removal of our progress toward true equality, this is temporary. I fully believe we will see progress again if we just hang on and share about the world we envision, we will see this sad point in our society become history. And, when that happens, we must remember to teach about this moment in history and resist the urge to hide away this ugliness.

With all of this in mind, I wish you all a peaceful International End Racism Day. We'll get there someday.

My start this morning was a little rough. Dropped my kiddo off at school at 7 and then began my trip to Oxford Area High School to facilitate a QPR Su***de Prevention training.

On a good day, if everything goes well, this is a 40 minute drive. I was supposed to arrive between 7:30 and 7:45. I knew I was pushing it.

The drive was going well until I made my left onto Route 10. I found myself behind a tractor trailer that was behind a buggy.

Arrived at 7:54. Found my class and while still catching my breath, began the training.

Fast forward... I scanned the comments on the surveys before turning them in.

One read, "Thank you for coming. I want to work in mental health and I learned a lot today."

Another read, "Thank you for doing this. I now know I should check in with someone if it seems they aren't okay."

Those 2 comments make everything (even driving behind a tractor trailer that can't get past a buggy while I'm feeling stressed) worth it.

May this New Year bring you health and prosperity. Happy New Year!
