🔜 Reminder of the upcoming EMS Evidence Review

They have three great articles, one from 1988!
*Disclaimer-The articles can not be sent as PDFs for copyright reasons.
Article 1: Where it all started (1988)
Article 2: NAEMSP position statement
Article 3 (bonus): The hypothesized cause of delayed neurologic injury

🚑 EMS Providers — This One’s for You.
The Albany Medical Center EMS Fellowship is hosting a casual, round-table style training that brings prehospital providers and ER physicians together to focus on what truly matters in hemorrhage control.

EMS Evidence Review Topic Focus:
đźš·Board Stiff: C-Spine Immobilization
đźš‘ Real-world decision-making from scene to ED
This is not a lecture. It’s an open discussion where EMS experience matters and questions are encouraged.
Have you ever questioned the functionality of a cervical collar? Does it prevent delayed neurologic injury? Does it cause harm? Should every trauma patient get one?

👉 Interested in attending?
Please RSVP to: AMCEMS@amc.edu
