As the weather gets colder, evening comes sooner and the summer gardens are gone... it seems that the food demand has increased...Our local food pantry is stocking up for winter. Our favorite time of year is coming up....the PLANKSGIVING CHALLENGE!

Use this link to sign up for this FREE challenge. This year we're adding in a fun prize for people who refer their friends and family to the challenge.

The Planksgiving Challenge is one week of different planks each day. We'll show lots of options for all levels of fitness. Can't do a plank on the floor? No problem, we'll have an option for you.

How do you stay motivated to exercise?? It’s a common question that we get asked a lot. Here are some tips to test out!

1. Set small, realistic goals. Don’t aim for a marathon if you’re just starting—focus on 10-minute walks or 2 workouts a week.
2. Schedule it like an appointment. Treat your workout like an important meeting—you wouldn’t cancel on yourself, right?
3. Find what you enjoy. Hate running? Don’t run. Dance, hike, lift, bike—whatever works for you!
4. Track your progress. Seeing how far you’ve come is a powerful motivator. Snap photos, keep a journal, or find an accountability partner to text.
5. Reward yourself. New playlist, smoothie, or some guilt-free screen time—celebrate the wins!

🏃‍♀️ Remember: Progress > Perfection. Show up for yourself. You’re worth it.

Lebanon High School in the Running for $1 Million Stadium Upgrade

The race is on, and Lebanon High School is holding strong in second place in T-Mobile’s nationwide Friday Night 5G Lights campaign. With nearly 150,000 votes already cast for the Warriors, the community is only about 25,000 votes behind first place.

This contest started with more than 2,100 high school entries from across the country. Lebanon is the only school in Oregon to break into the top 25 finalists, making this a once-in-a-lifetime chance for the Warriors to bring home the grand prize of $1 million in stadium upgrades.

Lebanon’s stadium was built in the 1950s and is long overdue for improvements. The stands and facilities no longer meet the needs of today’s students or fans. Winning would mean more than just fresh turf and lights—it would provide a safe, modern space for athletes, families, and the entire community to gather and celebrate.

Every vote counts, and you can make a difference right now:

Step into the spirit of autumn at the Coburg Pumpkin 5k, a one-of-a-kind event taking place on October 26th, 2025 at Pavilion Park in the charming town of Coburg. This festive fun run/walk will lead participants through the scenic town, offering a captivating route filled with amazing sights.

As you navigate the path, you’ll be greeted by captivating Scarecrow displays, remnants of the recent Scarecrow Festival held in Coburg. Marvel at the creativity and artistry showcased in these whimsical creations, each one telling its own story and adding a touch of magic to your journey.

What sets this event apart from traditional 5k runs is its unique twist: participants are encouraged to carry their own pumpkin throughout the course. Whether you choose a petite pumpkin or a hefty one, the weight on your shoulders adds an extra challenge, bringing an element of fun and excitement.

The Coburg Pumpkin 5k is not a timed race but rather a celebration of community, joy, and embracing the spirit of the season. As you cross the finish line, two distinct titles await the triumphant participants: the first runner to reach the end and the individual with the heaviest pumpkin. These winners will forever be remembered as the champions of this memorable event. While trophies await the winners, all registered participants will receive a medal upon crossing the finish line!

Our free chair classes are back in October! Every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:15-1:45pm in the IOOF building. We will be working on strength, core, balance, and flexibility! These classes are free for all. We know how big of an impact moving through the ages makes and want to make it more accessible to everyone. Help spread the word and get more aging bodies moving by sharing this class!

Our first class back is THIS THURSDAY at 1:15pm in the IOOF building! You can sign up ahead of time or just show up! No equipment needed.
