Have you ever heard of berberine?

Berberine is a natural compound found in several plants, including goldenseal and barberry. I first heard about berberine from a functional medicine doctor at a conference a decade ago. He said he used it for all of his Hashimoto's patients, which piqued my interest in it.

It turns out it may be helpful for those with Hashimoto’s through a variety of actions:

- Berberine is a natural compound that has been studied for its potential role in supporting healthy blood sugar levels. Some research suggests it may help maintain normal blood sugar levels. Blood sugar imbalances areimbalancesare common in those with Hashimoto's.
