Taiwanese researchers discovered acupuncture triggering stem cell release healing damaged organs naturally. Scientists at China Medical University found that electroacupuncture at specific meridian points stimulates bone marrow to release mesenchymal stem cells into circulation, which then migrate to injured organs and promote tissue repair. This mechanism explains acupuncture's therapeutic effects through measurable biological processes rather than placebo.

Traditional Chinese medicine has used acupuncture for thousands of years, but Western medicine dismissed it as placebo due to lack of biological mechanism. Taiwanese researchers using advanced imaging and cellular tracking discovered that needle stimulation at specific points triggers measurable stem cell mobilization—providing the first clear biological explanation for acupuncture's effects.

Electroacupuncture (needles with mild electrical current) at ST36 (Zusanli point) and GV20 (Baihui point) causes a 300% increase in circulating stem cells within 24 hours. These mobilized stem cells express homing signals drawing them to damaged tissues—injured liver, heart, kidneys, or brain—where they differentiate into organ-specific cells and release healing factors. It's like acupuncture triggers the body's internal repair dispatch system.

Stroke patients receiving electroacupuncture within 48 hours of stroke showed 40% better functional recovery than those receiving standard care alone. Liver cirrhosis patients showed reduced fibrosis markers. Heart attack survivors demonstrated improved cardiac function. The mechanism is entirely biological—traced stem cells from bone marrow to damaged organs. Skeptical Western physicians are reconsidering acupuncture given this mechanistic evidence. We're discovering that ancient healing practices work through sophisticated biological mechanisms science is only now capable of detecting.

Dry needling is Acupuncture! It is done using Acupuncture needles. Please make sure you go to a Board certified, licensed Acupuncturist. Acupuncture school is a four-year program which includes a year of internship in the student clinic under supervisors. It is then required to pass a board exam in order to get a license. Dry needling only requires a 12 to 80 hour course.

Steelers pass rusher T.J. Watt had surgery to repair a partially collapsed lung, his brother J.J. Watt posted on social media.

Sixty percent of miscarriages are caused by the failure of an embryo—the developmental stage before a fetus—to implant in the woman’s uterus.

Scientists have captured the first 3D images of a human embryo implanting in the uterus. The study reveals that embryos don’t just passively settle in; they reshape their environment by tugging on uterine tissue, helping them secure a foothold for development. How might these findings deepen our understanding of fertility? https://bit.ly/3J70sMp

New research alert!
Funded by the NIH, the research underscores the benefits of acupuncture for chronic low back pain in older adults.
The study found that seniors receiving acupuncture reported significant improvements in physical function and pain reduction compared to those receiving standard medical care such as medication or physical therapy.
These findings support our mission to uphold the highest standards of acupuncture and herbal medicine, while also reinforcing the importance of advancing HR 1667 (The Acupuncture for Seniors Act). Expanding Medicare coverage for acupuncture can ensure older Americans have greater access to safe, effective, and evidence-based care.

Trauma experienced in childhood may leave lasting biological marks that persist into adulthood — even in s***m cells.

A new study published in Molecular Psychiatry suggests that men who endured high stress or trauma early in life show distinct epigenetic differences in their s***m compared with those who did not.

Epigenetics doesn’t alter DNA itself but changes how genes are read — switching them on or off through mechanisms like DNA methylation or small noncoding RNAs. Researchers in Finland examined s***m samples from 58 men, comparing those with high childhood trauma scores to those with low scores.

They found that men with stressful childhoods had unique epigenetic signatures, including changes in two genes linked to brain development (CRTC1 and GBX2).

One small RNA molecule, hsa-mir-34c-5p, stood out because it has previously been shown in animal studies to affect brain development.

While it’s still unclear whether these epigenetic changes are passed to children, the findings add to growing evidence that life experiences can biologically imprint on s***m, potentially shaping future generations.
