Thinking about starting two new support groups — and I’d love your input.

For years, I was a caregiver — and much of that journey was unsupported, not because I didn’t try, but because the kind of support I truly needed simply didn’t exist.

I searched for mentors who had actually lived what I was living.

People who understood the emotional weight, the logistical strain, the grief, the love, the responsibility — and the invisible toll.

But most of the guidance I found came from people who hadn’t been there.
Now, I’m in a different position.

I have lived experience, professional training, and a deep desire to offer the kind of grounded, compassionate, real-world support I once needed.

I’m exploring two new small groups:

🌿 A Support Circle for Caregivers
🎗️ A Support Circle for Women (30–50) Navigating Cancer Treatment

These groups would offer:

• emotional support
• nervous system regulation tools
• space to be honest without needing to “stay strong”
• practical wisdom from someone who’s walked a similar road
• and community that feels real, not performative

2️⃣ They didn’t have the resources, support, or environment to make the new reality possible.

All Day Sipping Tea

1 red date cut up
Small handful of goji berries
Two teaspoons of nettle leaf
1 teaspoon of comfrey root
1 thumb of fresh ginger
Optional lemon rind

This tea is great for anytime of day .. but is also a great Sweet Afternoon Treat. Good for reduction in inflammation, strengthens and knits bones, supports healthy metabolism – great sweat treat for the afternoon. If I really want desert this tea is my go to

Heather’s Teal Tea –

2 Tbs whole blue butterfly pea flowers
2 tsp lemon balm (or lemon grass – I use two blades)
2 tsp chamomile

This delicate and flavorful tea is great for reduction of inflammation and packed with antioxidants.

Wonderful served warm or cold.

Most people don’t realize their priorities aren’t working
until something breaks:
👉 their body
👉 their relationships
👉 their clarity
👉 their capacity
👉 or their peace

But there are signs long before that—and they’re quieter, easier to ignore.

Layered Sweet Potato and Feta Bake

Ingredients:
2 sweet potatoes, thinly sliced
2 beets sliced thin
2 medium carrots thinly sliced ( I made ribbons with a peeler)
Fresh Basil Leaves
High smoke point oil – avocado, tallow
Salt and pepper to taste
Feta sliced thin ( tub from Costco mild Greek Feta)
2 cups of cottage cheese (optional blended smoot)
½ cup Toasted walnuts chopped OR pistachios
½ cup Dried cranberries or fresh
½ cup cranberry juice (or water)

Optional Ingredients:
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 cups diced butternut squash or pumpkin

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Prep veggies - wash, slice, and toss in high heat oil of your choice. Salt and pepper and roast for 20 minutes.

Make cranberry glaze – in a small saucepan, combine cranberry juice ( or water), cranberries and (balsamic vinegar * Optional). Simmer for 8-10 minutes until slightly thickened

Assemble – 8 x 10 baking dish, layer sweet potato slices, cottage cheese, basil (one layer) carrot slices, squash, feta slices. Repeat layers until dish is full.

Bake – cover with foil, bake for 45-60 minutes until veggies are tender. Remove foil and return to oven for 5 minutes.

Finish – top with cranberry glaze, nuts and feta crumbled. Drizzle with honey *optional

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cooke time 60 minutes
Total time 80 minutes
Kcal: ~ 220 kcal per serving
Servings 6-8

TIPS: I like the sweet potato with peel. I clean them well and score the skins before slicing.

Assemble in two smaller baking dishes - cook both and freeze one to reheat later - this recipe is great reheated.
