At Melodie’s Place, staff provide specialized, 24-hour care for the elderly or residents with a life threatening disease. A place where residents can live for the rest of their lives with the assistance of Hospice care when deemed appropriate. Melodie's Place On the River is a 2,000 sq ft home on the Indian River. Melodie's Place Cocoa is in Canaveral Groves, a 2600 sq foot home in Canaveral Groves, a country setting. Each of Melodie's Places accommodates 6 residents in private or semi-private bedrooms with home-like living, dining, and outdoor spaces. Founder Melodie Edwards Hays RN heads the staff. She is a Registered nurse with 25 years of experience including 12 years as a hospice nurse. She hand picks and supervises a staff of trained caregivers who provide personalized care. Residents (and families!) are treated with the dignity and tender loving care. Melodie and her experienced staff assist and monitor day to day care while allowing as much independence and decision making as possible in a closely supervised, safe environment.
