Attending the Psychotherapy Networker Symposium in Washington, DC has been such an inspiring and energizing experience ✨especially going with Richard and Mark from my peer supervision group! A group of amazing and passionate colleagues who I see monthly to go over cases and discuss new advances in our field! 💙 But this conference was extra special, being surrounded by thousands of passionate clinicians, thought leaders, and innovators in our clinical practice was a powerful reminder of why we do this work. This conference brings together over 5,000 professionals and some of the most respected voices in mental health, all committed to deepening our understanding and improving the care we provide!
I can’t wait to get back to my clients because over the past few days, I’ve had the opportunity to:
• Learn about cutting-edge approaches in trauma, EMDR, IFS, and integrative therapies
• Reflect on the evolving role of psychotherapy in today’s world and the importance of bringing mental health awareness and knowledge outside of the therapy room
• Connect with colleagues who are just as passionate about healing, growth, and meaningful change
What stood out most for me was the sense of community, creativity, and shared purpose. It was a space for renewal, connection, and inspiration that we are carrying back into our work.
Grateful for the learning, the conversations, and the reminder that we are all part of something bigger 💙 I hope next year more members of our peer supervision group and other local clinicians can join us!
