July is Sarcoma Awareness Month.

Last week, several of our teams participated in Wear Yellow Wednesday for sarcoma awareness and to show support for everyone affected by sarcoma. Sarcoma is a rare cancer that can develop in bones and soft tissues like muscle, fat and nerves. Sarcoma affects people of all ages and can be fatal, but early detection and specialized care make a difference.

The beautiful ribbons our staff wore were made by our incredible team and decorated with sunflowers, the symbol of sarcoma awareness.

We stand with sarcoma patients, survivors, families and researchers working toward better treatments and real breakthroughs for a cure.

We were so proud to celebrate 50 years of lifesaving care at Billings Clinic Emergency & Trauma Center alongside our community. Fans joined us for an evening of fun, cheers, and gratitude — and as a special treat, the Mustangs team handed out signed pennants to lucky fans!

Thank you to everyone who came out last Friday to honor the incredible legacy of our Emergency Department and the dedicated team that’s been here for our region through it all.

We’re incredibly grateful to PacificSource for a generous $200,000 grant, given through Billings Clinic Foundation, to help bring advanced technology to our lung care team at Billings Clinic. Thanks to their support, we’ve added a digital C-arm with Cone Beam CT and a procedure table to our robotic bronchoscopy system – tools that represent a major leap forward in how we detect and diagnose lung conditions.

This new setup gives our doctors real-time, 3D imaging that helps them reach smaller, deeper, and more complex lung lesions with greater accuracy and safety. That means earlier, more precise diagnoses – especially for our oncology patients – and a better chance at starting treatment sooner.

This is a big step in expanding access to cutting-edge care, and we’re proud to keep raising the bar for patients across our region. Thank you to PacificSource for making this possible.

The Billings Clinic Cancer Center brought together several hundred cancer survivors and their families for a celebration at ZooMontana on Sunday evening for the center's annual celebration barbecue.

Over 400 people joined us last night at our Cancer Center Celebration - an evening full of food, fellowship and fun. Burgers were grilled for guests and their families, and despite an early forecast of thunderstorms, the skies were bright and clear. From zoo tours and games to music, a cake walk and great conversation, the night was filled with joy and community spirit.

We're grateful to the vendors who partnered with us. Thank you to YMCA - LiveStrong Program, PEAKS, ACS Relay for Life, Plush Studios & Medical Aesthetics, Englishartistry, Duke's Barbershop, Camp Mak-A-Dream and Warrior Wishes.

A huge thanks to all who came out to join in camaraderie and support. Truly a special night.

On Thursday, we celebrated the grand opening of two exciting additions to Billings Clinic with ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the Helmsley Surgical Intensive Care Unit and the Helmsley Regional Operations Center.

These new departments are a big step forward in our mission to expand regional access to high-quality, advanced care.

The new Helmsley Surgical Intensive Care Unit and the new Helmsley Regional Operations Center were funded in part by the Billings Clinic Foundation and a $12 million grant from the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust.
