WYOMING PUBLIC HEALTH UPDATE

1. Measles - No cases in Wyoming yet for 2026.
2. Influenza - Flu B showed up at the end of the season. Rather than causing another spike, flu B is replacing flu A. Cases are now minimal, and the influenza season should be over by the end of April.
3. Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) - As the RSV season arrived later this year, the WY Department of Health has authorized administration of protective monoclonal antibody for eligible infants through the end of April.
4. Pertussis (whooping cough) - There were 148 cases of pertussis in WY in 2025. WY hasn't seen that many since 1951. There have been 28 cases identified so far in 2026, and we are on track to have a year similar to last year.
