Today's First Annual Mr. North Idaho Spotlight is on Specialized Needs Recreation and their Mister Jacob Watkins!

Jacob is an adult with Down Syndrome that loves being active in the community with theater, Special Olympics, his family and his chosen charity Specialized Needs Recreation. He was worked at Ironwood Safeway for 25 years. He lives with his brother Chris and their Great Dane Daisy Mae. Jacob is passionate about spreading awareness about charities that support people with special needs or other underserved members of the community. When asked why he chose SNR- This organization provides recreational opportunities for people with disabilities. My friends and I get to play together, have dinners, attend events and participate in sports. It provides very important social opportunities for people that might not normally have them.
