Today is International Overdose Awareness Day. As a survivor of overdose, I'm sharing my story to break the stigma and encourage others struggling with substance use disorder to seek help.

I wouldn't be here today without the support of my family and a God I didn’t trust or think I needed help from. To anyone battling addiction: you are not alone, and recovery is possible. Don't be afraid to step out of the shadows and ask for help. Your life matters.

Let's work together to prevent overdoses, support those in recovery, and remember those we've lost.
