Welcome to one of the most exciting phases of pregnancy! The second trimester often brings more energy and fewer early symptoms, and around 20 weeks many moms begin to feel those first baby movements, such a special moment. Your body and your baby are changing quickly, so this is a great time to focus on simple self-care: nourishing meals with plenty of protein, fruits, and veggies; gentle movement like walking, swimming, or prenatal yoga; and safe activities approved by your care team.

This is also the perfect time to start planning for prenatal classes. They fill up fast, so registering early is recommended. The Kootenai Health Family Birthing Center page offers helpful information, a virtual tour, and easy sign-ups for childbirth, breastfeeding, and parenting classes.

We’re here to support you every step of the way, reach out anytime with questions or to schedule your next visit at (208)765-1455.

Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women, yet it often goes undiagnosed for years. This chronic condition can cause severe pelvic pain, heavy periods, fatigue, and fertility challenges and too many women are told their pain is “normal.”

At Health Care for Women, we believe listening matters. This March, we’re committed to raising awareness, supporting those living with endometriosis, and advocating for earlier diagnosis and compassionate care.

If you or someone you love is experiencing symptoms, you are not alone, help is available.
