Meet the Team: Shania- Patient Engagement Specialist, TMS Technician, Grappling Guru

Shania is our go-to expert for all things patient engagement and TMS. But, don’t let her warm smile fool you. When she’s not guiding patients through their treatment, she’s probably perfecting an armbar or refereeing a local Jiu-Jitsu tournament. Compassionate, sharp, and a little bit fearless, Shania brings energy and care to every part of her day.

As a Certified TMS Technician and head of our marketing efforts, Shania does it all—managing social media, newsletters, billboards, and advertisements—while guiding patients through their TMS journey with empathy, humor, and a knack for making even the toughest days a little brighter.

From restoring hope to keeping our clinic running smoothly, Shania brings heart, expertise, and a personal touch to everything she does. We’re lucky to have her—and so will you.

Did you know that in 2022, over 6,400 U.S. veterans died by su***de? Mental health support saves lives. 💙

Did you know that nearly 30% of veterans from recent conflicts (Iraq & Afghanistan) experience PTSD at some point in their lives?

Did you know that almost half of veterans with mental health needs have not received care due to stigma, access, or other barriers?

Did you know that 7.6% of veterans aged 18–49 reported serious thoughts of su***de in the past year?

Did you know that 22% of older veterans (65+) report symptoms of depression, compared with 18% of civilians their age?

💙 This Veterans Day, we honor those who serve and remind our veteran community: you are not alone, and support is here.

Meet the Team: Dr. William Cable, EdD, PA-C — Provider, Researcher, and Lifelong Learner

Join us in welcoming Dr. Cable, a board-certified Physician Assistant with more than sixteen years of experience in psychiatry, addiction medicine, and emergency medicine. He brings both depth and curiosity to his work, qualities that shine through in everything he does.

Dr. Cable’s doctoral research explored the role of dissociation in the healing process during ketamine therapy, reflecting his passion for understanding the mind and supporting patients through transformative care.

He also completed training in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy and Research through the California Institute of Integral Studies, further expanding his expertise in innovative approaches to mental health. Dr. Cable holds a Doctorate in Counseling and Trauma Studies from Liberty University and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain College.

We’re excited for our patients to experience Dr. Cable’s compassionate approach and dedication to helping others find relief and restoration.

🌟 Meet the Team: Tiffany- Director of TMS Therapy 🌟

Part brain science enthusiast, part patient cheerleader, Tiffany has been leading our TMS program since June 2025. With a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a genuine fascination with how our minds work, she’s passionate about meeting patients exactly where they are and helping them take steps toward feeling their best.

She’s here for the transformations — the kind where someone begins treatment quietly, avoiding eye contact, and finishes it smiling, chatting, and making plans for the future. For Tiffany, there’s nothing more rewarding than being part of that journey.

When she’s not helping patients, you might find Tiffany hiking, baking sweet treats, solving puzzles, or building her latest Lego creation. She’s also an adventurer at heart, with travels to Australia and New Zealand already under her belt.

Her favorite reminder? “Mental health is not a destination, it’s a journey.” 💛

Who is Ketamine Therapy actually for?
Let’s break it down, no lab coat required 🧠✨

If you’ve tried all the things—talk therapy, meds, yoga, journaling, screaming into a pillow—and you’re still feeling stuck in the fog… ketamine therapy might be worth a look.

It’s not a magic wand (though we wish we had one), but for many people living with depression, anxiety, PTSD, or chronic pain, it can help hit the reset button in the brain and create space for real healing. Ketamine works by targeting a specific neurotransmitter in the brain called glutamate, which plays a key role in mood regulation and neural communication. By increasing glutamate activity, ketamine helps stimulate the growth of new neural connections—essentially “rewiring” areas of the brain that have been affected by depression, anxiety, or chronic pain.

We’ve seen people who felt like nothing would ever work for them finally start to feel like themselves again. It’s not about becoming someone new—it’s about reconnecting with who you are underneath the heaviness.

If you're curious, nervous, or just want to know if this could be a fit—we're happy to chat. Visit northidahoketamine.com/contact to schedule your complimentary consultation today.

Meet the Team: Allegra- Director of Infusion Services, IV Whisperer, and Occasional Comedian

Introducing Allegra, our skilled and endlessly dedicated Director of Infusion Services. While the photo might suggest she moonlights as a stand-up comic, don't be fooled. Allegra brings serious expertise to every infusion she oversees.

As a National Registry Paramedic (NRP) licensed in both Idaho and Montana, and a Tactical Medical Practitioner, Allegra’s the kind of professional you want in your corner: sharp, experienced, and unshakable. She’s trained our entire infusion team to deliver the same high standard of safe, personalized care that she’s known for.

And while she’s got a great sense of humor and never takes herself too seriously, she also has one of the calmest, most nurturing presences you’ll find. Patients often say just being around her puts them at ease—and we couldn’t agree more.

From expert care to the occasional clinic laugh, Allegra keeps things flowing (literally and figuratively). We’re lucky to have her—and you will be too.

Your story matters. Your feelings matter. And your wellness matters—to us, and to everyone who cares about you.

If you’re considering taking that first step, we’re here to guide and cheer you on. Sending you encouragement today, wherever you are in your journey. 💙

🌟 Wondering what TMS Therapy is? Let’s break it down—not with medical mumbo-jumbo, but with a real talk from your friendly neighborhood mental health team (that’s us, hi! 👋).

So... What IS TMS Therapy?
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a mouthful, but it’s actually pretty simple and gentle! Imagine friendly magnetic pulses giving certain brain cells a “wake up call”—no surgery, no meds, no sci-fi gadgets required (well, maybe just a sprinkle). FDA-approved and non-invasive, TMS therapy is a great option for patients who havent seen results from antidepressant medications.

Key Facts for Curious Minds:

Non-invasive: No needles, no scalpels, and definitely no dramatic hospital gowns.

Easy on you: The biggest complaint? “My scalp felt tingly!” (Don’t worry, we’ve got comfy chairs.)

No downtime: You’ll leave the session ready to conquer your day (or at least your to-do list).

Medication-free: Good news if pills aren’t your thing, or if they haven’t been quite enough.

Scientifically proven: TMS is backed by loads of research for treatment-resistant depression—real results, not just wishful thinking.

Time commitment: Sessions last about 20 minutes—just enough time to catch up on your favorite podcast!

Still have questions, or just want to chat about mental health? Slide into our DMs, call us, or drop by—we’re always here with a smile, a listening ear, and (if you're lucky) bad puns.

🧠Meet the Team: Dr. John Thurston, Founder of Our Clinic

We’re excited for you to meet Dr. John Thurston—board-certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, and the heart behind our clinic. He’s our resident expert and compassionate leader.

After completing his residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2017, Dr. Thurston faced his own tough season. In 2019, he tried ketamine treatment and found such profound benefit that it changed not just his life, but his whole career path. Inspired by his own journey, he’s been on a mission ever since to help others find relief and hope with ketamine therapy.

He’s lectured at medical schools, guided new professionals, and is an active member of the American Society of Ketamine Physicians. When he isn’t championing new therapies, you’ll find him listening closely and bringing a little extra encouragement to every patient.

We’re grateful to have Dr. Thurston leading the way—proving that, sometimes, the best guides are those who’ve walked the path themselves (and who don’t mind sharing a smile along the way).
